Kyocera offers a full line of Printers and Multifunctional Products (MFP's) that not only support industry standard printer languages like PCL, but also offer the additional extensibility of PRESCRIBE. PRESCRIBE is Kyocera’s native printer language that provides unprecedented versatility by offering a suite of free tools that can be used to create forms as well as variable data applications that address needs for a wide variety of business applications. PRESCRIBE is operating system independent, so forms created in a Microsoft Windows application can be used from Linux, mainframe or any other operating system.

The ability to create, store and call forms from a compact flash card or from the device HDD allows your customers to improve on their overall Return On Investment (ROI), and save on business resources, such as network bandwidth, storage space and other costs, such as the inventory management associated with preprinted forms. To further enhance the value of the PRESCRIBE Solution, consider that a typical three-part preprinted form can cost anywhere from 7 to 22 cents per form.   create and utilize forms that are stored on the device. After your form is downloaded to the Printer it can be combined with data   from  your application to create the required output. Forms are printed on demand, so there is no waste from discarding old or   obsolete  forms saving valuable financial resources. If changes to the form are required, they can be made quickly and used   immediately,  improving communications.
